Together we help each other
making the patients even happier
DentaNet Symposium 2020
DentaNet Symposium is our annual event which always attracts a lot of delegates with the combination of world class speakers and the unique DentaNet networking.
DentaNet Symposium 2020 is held on 31st of January - 1st of February 2020 where we yet again have the honour of presenting 4 inspiring speakers for 3 lectures and as usual a lot of networking. Friday night, we will go to Carlsberg Glyptoteket and surrounded by great art and an extraordinary framework we will have have our usual fun networking dinner.
Effective and simplified protocols for daily high quality adhesive restorations in the posterior region
Dr. Gianfranco Politano & Dr. Marleen Peumans
Whole Friday
During the last decade, adhesive dentistry has become more and more important in the domain of restorative dentistry. Adhesive procedures offer the possibility to keep the restorations smaller and decrease in this way the so-called ‘money tooth’ effect. Nevertheless, adhesive restorative procedures are quite techniquesensitive. Therefore, it is required to follow simplified andstandardized protocols to make high quality adhesive restorations in daily practice.
You will learn:
- Do a correct biomechanical analysis of the premolar/molar to be restored
-
Have knowledge of the indications and limitations of direct and indirect adhesive restorations in the posterior region
-
Make a correct cavity preparation for a long lasting direct composite restoration
-
Follow a simplified protocol for closing the proximal box (contactpoint and proximal emergency profile) and the occlusal cavity with a direct composite restoration, emulating histo-anatomy, optical properties and anatomy of the natural tooth
-
Have knowledge of preparation form for long-lastin non-retentive lithium disilicate bonded overlays
-
How to deal with deep cervical margins
-
Follow a correct cementation protocol for lomg lasting non-retentive ceramic overlays
Update in next-level endodontics & Problems in endodontics and their solution
Dr. Christoph Zirkel
Saturday Morning
The lecture will take a closer look to special partsof the root canal treatment. In this context, the topic of findingthe root canal and creating a good access to the root canal system, as well as root canal preparation and cleaning is of the highest importance. Therefor we will talk about the use of microscopes and ultrasound.
Good knowledge about the anatomical situations, bacteriologicalcontexts and, above all, the various methods of cleaning, canachieve very high success rates today. Meaning, that we will hit the topic of laser disinfection, as well as nanoparticle irrigants
This lecture should bring the theoretical knowledge into ameaningful context. Some clinical cases are given for valuable tipsand tricks for the colleagues.
You will learn about:
- The spectrum to be discussed includes the bacteriological background
- The pre-endontontic build-up
- The preparation and cleaning, as well as various possibilities of root filling, including MTA sealer
- The possibilities for post-endodontic build-up are discussed, which is a need for a long term success
All in all, there is a comprehensible antibacterial treatment concept that brings colleagues up to date.
The second part of the lecture is about Problems in endodontics and their solution – in a very practical way.
You will learn about:
- Pain patients
- Diagnostic errors
- Access cavity and anatomical particularities
- Instrument fracture and mechanical defects
- Disinfection control
The Physiology of Occlusion in Clinical Practice
Dr. Jay Harris Levy
Saturday Afternoon
Mastication is the body’s method of moving the jaws and teeth through space and time in order to encounter and fracture food into small easy to digest bits. It is a brilliantly choreographed feeding behavior demanding the integration of all of the senses to provide direction to contractions of millions of muscle motor units dispersed throughout the head and neck region. The grand purposeof this complex activity is to deliver nutrition and sustenance.
Teeth have a dual nature that enables them to crush a vast quantity of food over the course of a lifetime and endure. They are at onceextremely hard, strong structures while being exquisitely sensitive tactile sensory organs. Mechanoreceptive nerve fibers within theteeth and the periodontal ligament are tuned by evolution to enable the long-term survival of teeth.
You will learn about:
- How mechanoreceptors & proprioceptors of the teeth and periodontal ligament influence dental occlusion.
- How occlusion occurs because of sensory motor intergration.
- Why occlusal tooth contacts create streams of sensory information that are processed by the central nervous system to produce oromotor behaviors.
- How tooth wear and pulp vitality influence jaw behaviors.
- How occlusion and dental arch form relates to airway disorders.
- How the movements of the jaws are constrained by both the TMJs and the Atlanto-Occipital Joints.
Networking dinner at Carlsberg Glyptoteket
Networking and Exhibition
As usual, there is time set aside for networking when the program ends Friday afternoon.
The event will be held in the exhibition area from 16.30-18.00.
Everybody is invited to join each other for drinks and snacks. No need to sign up.
Networking dinner at Carlsberg Glyptoteket
Friday night, we will go to Carlsberg Glyptoteket and surrounded by great art and an extraordinary framework we will have our usual fun networking dinner. There is a formal dresscode so wear your fancy dress or suit.
Dancing and drinking at a bar in these surroundings are not allowed, so we have arranged the bus to take us back
to the hotel where we have our very own big room with a bar and live band with dancing. This will give us the advantage of being able to get to bed as soon as you feel like it and to get ready for the next lecture day.
We will arrange transportation back and forth from Clarion Hotel Copenhagen Airport. You will - as usual - be taken wellcare of throughout the day and night!
You are more than welcome to bring your beloved one to the networking dinner in which case the same fee applies.
Remember to do the extra sign upon registration in order to attende the networking dinner.
