Theory and practical epithelial grafting and suturing + Theory and practical connective tissue grafting and suturing and Hands-on will be conducted on animal jaws.
Aims, Objectives and Learning Content:
Understand the principals of predictable soft tissue grafting
Understand the principals of soft tissue manipulation and flap design
Understand sequence of soft tissue grafting for teeth and dental implants
How to assess and implement soft tissue protocols and suture techniques
Discuss and understand in detail different soft tissue grafting techniques that include
epithelial grafts, and connective grafting around teeth and dental implants
Implement knowledge on practical pigs jaw
You will learn to:
Be able to understand soft tissue grafting protocols
Be able to execute epithelial and connective tissue grafting techniques
Be able to perform different techniques on practical pigs jaw

Hatem Algraffee, BDS, MSc, M. Clindent, MFDS MRD
Specialist Periodontist Hatem Algraffee qualified as a dentist from the Royal London Hospital.
Hatem completed four years full time specialist training in Periodontology at Guys London Hospital. He was
awarded a Masters Degree (MSc) in Periodontology and Masters in Clinical Dentistry (M.Clin.Dent) from Guys Hospital.
He has lectured at many postgraduate centres, at webinars and study clubs. He co-founded PerioAcademy,
which dedicates teaching to general dentists/specialists in the field of Periodontics with emphasis in practical knowledge and experience. Hatem now dedicates his time to Periodontics in private practice and lecturing for PerioAcademy.
